The 6th International Head Nurse Seminar—Compression Hemostasis and Hemodynamics Session

Held successfully!

At this academic gathering, we invited nursing experts both at home and abroad to join us online, where theyshared clinical cases of compression hemostasis and hemodynamic monitoring and had deep communication and exchange on nursing techniques and teaching experience. On the day of the event, the rich academic content attracted exceed more than four-thousand viewers from more than 20 countries including China.

Nursing Experts Having Conversations about Nursing Development 12/01/2022

Ms. Guihua Hou from Peking University First Hospital gave the opening speech, she welcomed and thanked the joining of all experts from both China and abroad, and pointed out that international collaboration and exchange are very important ways to enhance the friendship between our nursing colleagues from various countries, to learn from each other, to broaden our visions, and to promote the continuous improvement of nursing techniques.

Head Nurse Jiying Wang from Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Hospital shared his talk named “Application and Observation of Flat-plate Radial Compression Tourniquet”, and Dr. Asri Ranga Bin Abdullah Ramaiah (Malaysia, Hospital Serdang) shared his talk named “Hemostasis by Compression”.

CASE1-2 12/01/2022

Bring with them the experience of using compression hemostasis in their clinical centers, more than 10 nursing experts from China, Malaysia, South Africa, Philippines, Hungary and the United Kingdom had great discussions and they believe that the first and second generation radial artery compression tourniquet from Demax are easy to use and simplify clinical nursing procedures. Both the transparent compression plate of the first generation tourniquet and the observation window of the second generation tourniquet bring great convenience for healthcare professionals to observe the puncture site and effectively monitor for any bleeding. The Demax radial artery compression tourniquet does not compress the ulnar artery, and the locking device of the second-generation tourniquet also helps avoid mis-operation by patients and greatly reduces the occurrence of complications. The elastic band is made of nylon material, which has good air permeability, and therefore very comfortable for the patient to wear.

Demax first-generation radial artery compression tourniquet is easy to observe, brings great comforts to patients, and can help effectively reduce complications;

Demax flat-plate radial compression tourniquet is easy to operate, suitable for use in day surgery, and brings good results;

The second-generation knob compression tourniquet is easy to use, and I personally like the observation window, which brings direct visualization and increases safety; the locking device can help avoid any mis-operation by patients, reduce complications as well as the workload of nurses;

We have used Demax’s products, and we found that they greatly improve patient comfort, have very good compression hemostatic effect, and no hematoma and other complications are reported, there is no compression on the ulnar artery; compared with other hemostasis devices, Demax’s products bring high patient satisfaction and our nurses are willing to use them.

CASE3-4 12/01/2022

Head Nurse Fuli Chen from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, China shared her talk named “Hemodynamic Monitoring in Coronary Intervention”, and Jolene Lau (Australia, Liverpool Hospital) shared her talk named “Integrated Manifolds In the Cath Lab: Improving Efficiency”.

Drawing on their experience in using pressure transducers in clinical practice, eight nursing experts from China and the Philippines had their discussions around “hemodynamic monitoring”. The experts believe that the Demax first generation transducers have stable performance; the tubing wall is strong, not easy to fold, and the data transmission is quite sensitive and accurate. Meanwhile, they shared their great interests in the new manifold + “transducer pressure chip” integrated second generation transducer, nurse Jolene Lau also shared the experience of using the Demax second generation transducer in Australia, she believes that the product has less transmission tubing, and it's much easier to remove air and have zeroing adjustment, the reduction of connections also reduces errors, therefore ensures the stability of data transmission.
